To add further – Henry ‘Harry’ Peake lived on Laurie Avenue in his youth and attended Stanley Road Infants and Junior School with my father, who was the same age and lived on Stanley Road.
Subsequently Harry went onto Forest Fields Grammar school on Stanley Road.
My grandparents told me about their friendship, as they still lived near Harry’s parents, and the traumatic experience that Harry had in his youth, which will remain confidential.
